Creating your own personal ecosystem

As someone who runs a Dutch company, I seem these days to find myself spending a good amount of time in the United States. This past week I attended CTIA’s Enterprise and Apps event in San Diego, California. Overall, I must say, I thought it was a very good event. I found it very interesting to see how attendees there (at least based on the conversations I had), were facing a broad variety of challenges around the way they were looking to mobilize their businesses. Some companies are still trying to determine whether or not they should allow their employees to bring in their own individually liable devices – and if they should, how much they should be reimbursing their employees for their smartphones. Other companies are worried about the security of both the mobile devices and the mobile applications they are deploying. Some companies are trying to understand how to integrate the Cloud into their mobility strategy, while others are looking to provide their employees the necessary applications to be safe and trackable in countries where wars are currently taking place. While many of the companies I spoke to are facing very different challenges in terms of what they were trying to accomplish, they all shared one thing in common. They wanted to find ways to provide their employees the best mobile tools possible so that they could be as productive as possible (in a secure and trusted way of course). They all want to move their Big M! That’s why I am so excited about The Big M event that we will be sponsoring in Amsterdam on November 17.
